Foxfield Opens Ticket Sales for the Fall Races at Full Spectator Capacity

(Charlottesville, VA – July 21, 2021) – Albemarle County’s signature Steeplechase racing event – the Foxfield Races – will return this fall on Sunday, Oct. 3 at full spectator capacity. Tickets are now available on a new online ticketing platform accessible through the Foxfield website at www.foxfieldraces.com.

The new ticketing system allows spectators to better visualize locations throughout the course and understand the benefits of each section.  Attendees can select their parking space, while considering additional add-ons as needed. Personalization and a streamlined entry process will welcome new and returning friends to the race course.

The fall races will also launch a new, long-term partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville, which will receive a portion of every ticket sold and additional philanthropic support from Foxfield’s corporate sponsors.

“Families, friends, and colleagues are looking for creative and fun ways to convene and reconnect in person, and the Foxfield Races are the perfect venue,” said Kelsey Cox, executive director of the Foxfield Races. “It’s the best time of year in one of the most special places in the country, as our track is surrounded by the mountains and fall foliage in the heart of Albemarle County.”

“Our philanthropic commitment to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville is just one step toward making the races more inclusive to our broader community,” continued Cox. “We will welcome many Habitat families and supporters to experience the excitement of Steeplechase, and encourage all to consider joining us for what will be a remarkable day.”

Foxfield is a perfect event for large groups, and for the first time a new corporate hospitality experience will host fully catered tents along the rail near the finish line for major sponsors.  These sponsors are making significant investments in Foxfield’s revitalized mission, including supporting the Habitat partnership, enhancing the racing purse structure, and building the long-term financial foundation for the Foxfield grounds and races. Additional corporate sponsorship opportunities at multiple levels of support are also available.
