Tent Rules and Regulations

Tickets

Each vehicle must possess a car pass. Each individual must possess a South Hill, Sponsor, or Chalet Tent guest ticket issued by the Foxfield Racing Association (FRA) for access to a tent located in the South Hill, Sponsor or Chalet Tent enclosure. FRA will issue no other form of ticket to admit vehicles or guests to the grounds. Sublease of and/or admission charge to any tent without FRA written authority is strictly prohibited. Additional tickets may be purchased in advance of race day by calling (434) 971-2943. No guest will be allowed into the South Hill, Sponsor or Chalet Tent area without a ticket. Any caterers or service personnel must have FRA issued car passes provided free of charge by contacting Anne Susen at (434) 825-4354.

Tent lessee & guests desiring professional food catering service must use one of the FRA licensed caterers, whose names will be provided. The licensed caterer will provide details of menus and prices for your consideration. Any alcoholic beverages must be purchased in Virginia, as required by law. Guests must be 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages. Tent lessee will provide any needed water/ice supply. Wood or charcoal burning stoves, barbecues and ground fires are not permitted. Open flame and hot food provided only by FRA licensed caterer who is insured.

In consideration of the safety of people and horses, guests will use only shatterproof, non-glass, drinking containers. Beer or soft drink glass bottles are strictly prohibited on the grounds and subject to confiscation. Trash must be left bagged and /or taken away upon leaving. Guest is subject to fine and future loss of tent space for violation of this provision; tent site will be evaluated after the event. Please note that there is a $500 fine for littering and for possession of glass bottles.

Tent lessee & guests understand that Foxfield is a family-oriented event, and that guests are expected to wear proper afternoon attire. Conduct infringing upon neighboring tents or the rights of others is prohibited. Pets are not permitted on the grounds. Drunkenness and/or disorderly conduct is subject to arrest and eviction.

You may provide any name sign or banner of your choosing located only inside your tent. Flags, balloons, signage or other promotional materials will not be placed outside of the tent, nor on the race course perimeter fence. Public solicitation, leafleting, postering, or political demonstration outside of the guest tent are prohibited. Tent lessee & guests will not use any musical entertainment, boom box or electrical generator to produce the same.

Tents will be ready for advance preparation and/or decoration on the Friday before race day. FRA will provide overnight security.

6:00 p.m., in the interests of safety on the roads and grounds security, Tent lessee agrees to close down tent activities no later than 5:30 p.m., and to remove all trash and personal property and leave grounds by 6:00 p.m. Chairs, tables, linens and any other items provided by FRA should be left in the tent.

Tent lessee releases the Foxfield Racing Association from any liability for personal injury, damage or loss of personal property. Tent lessee accepts responsibility for repair or replacement of tent if caused by Tent lessee or guest. Tent lessee understands and agrees that violation of any of the above lawful provisions applicable to this private property may result in action to stop such activity as well as future non-renewal of tent lessee's space, a fine or other actions permitted by law.

Due to the limited number of tents available, reservations will be accepted based upon date of payment receipt and on a first come-first serve basis.

We will no longer offer will-call either at the gate or off-site. All tickets must be sold and delivered in advance of the race. Please plan ahead. We will post ticket sending deadlines.
