Spring 2008 Procedures

NO GLASS is allowed at the Race Track. Please bring beverages in plastic or cans. If you cannot escape using bottles and the beverage is available only in bottles, please bring plastic cups and pour the beverage into the cup, then deposit the bottle in a trash receptacle. If you are seen drinking a beverage from a bottle, the bottle will be confiscated. If the beverage comes in plastic as well as glass, please be aware that your glass container may be confiscated. Please plan ahead.

No tickets, parking, or reserved parking spaces will be sold at the gate on race day. All tickets and parking must be purchased in advance either on-line, through the race office or at one of our ticket outlets.


TRAFFIC DIRECTIONS **

Pink, Green, Yellow, Orange Sections & Chalet Tents:
Patrons with parking in the Pink, Green, Yellow, and Orange Sections, or Chalet Tents, take Garth Road heading West from Charlottesville and enter through the East Gate.

Blue Section, Special Section, South Hill:
Patrons with parking in the Blue Section, Special Section, or South Hill, take Garth Road heading West from Charlottesville and enter through the West Gate.

Purple & Invitation Ticket Admission:
Patrons with Purple and Invitation Parking passes please use 250 West to Owensville Road North, then East on Garth Road to the West Gate OR use Rte 676 (Reservoir Road) to 601 to Garth Road and enter through the West Gate.

Buses:
Buses may come any way and enter at the West Gate. All bus patrons must have a pre-purchased ticket. This is new! No tickets will be sold when your bus arrives at the Foxfield Gate. All bus riders must pre-purchase tickets either online, through our ticket outlets, or the race office.

Bus patrons must arrive sober. If there are people on your bus who arrive intoxicated, your bus will be denied access without refunds.

** A monitor will be stationed on Garth Road at 21 Curves to check parking passes and turn on to 21 Curves those patrons going to General Admission.

** A monitor will be stationed on Owensville Road to check General Admission Passes and turn around those persons who have reserved parking passes.

As more information becomes available we will inform you. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Spring 2006 Race Meet.


NEW ALCOHOL POLICIES
If you are having any kind of problem at your parking space, please call 911 and tell the operator you are at Foxfield. You will then be transferred to the command center at the racetrack and the security people will work with you there. Please do not hesitate to call for any reason.

A FEW TIPS:
Plan Ahead!
Bring food. Bring water, Bring non-alcoholic beverages such as ice tea and Gatorade.

If it is a very hot day you can drink more than you intend very quickly. The day is very long and you will need to drink water and eat food. Dehydration is your enemy. Do not depend on your host or date to supply food and water - bring your own! Take care of yourself and the others in your area.

If you or your guest has too much to drink:
1) Drink lots of water.
2) Go to the First Aid Station by the West Gate.
3) If situation is dire, contact Foxfield Security

1) ALL PATRONS must arrive sober at Foxfield or risk being denied access without refund.

2) Select a Designated Driver. Check back online to review our new Designated Driver Program.

3) ALL STUDENTS 21 & Older must wear an armband identifying him/her as so.

You and your guests WILL ABIDE by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia as to the following specific lawful prohibitions:

a) Consumers of alcohol must be 21 years old.
b) No consumption by minors or serving minors alcohol.
c) No public drunkenness or disorderly conduct.
d) No illegal controlled substances or drugs on site.

4) You will be responsible for the people attending your parking space at all times to comply with number one above and to assist and help anyone impaired or in trouble.

5) RESPOND IMMEDIATELY to any notice or warning by security patrols as to their announced concerns. Example: a person at your space is seen drunk and disorderly or using illegal drugs. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to correct the citation or face expulsion OR see an ON THE SPOT ISSUED SUMMONS TO COURT for any violation(s) of the law.

6) Help prevent underage drinking and stop your guests serving alcohol to minors. Otherwise, the guest will face a contributing to the delinquency of a minor criminal charge.


Ticketing:

Will-Call:
All tickets sold in advance. No will-call.

Orange & Green Infield Spaces:
ALL Orange and Green Infield Parking Spaces will be sold online or by calling the 800 number only. If you want to be with a group (more than one parking space) you will need to order them in one transaction. There will be no specifying parking places online or on the 800 number.

Orange & Green Pre-Reserved & Rail Spaces:
Orange and Green Pre-Reserved and Rail Spaces will be sold through the race office.

All Other Parking:
All other parking spaces will be sold through the Race Office.

** No parking spaces will be sold through ticket outlets *


Please Note - NO WILL CALL
We will no longer offer will-call either at the gate or off-site. All tickets must be sold and delivered in advance of the race. Please plan ahead. We will post ticket sending deadlines.
